If you prefer a more rural Aparthotel on Texel, the apartments on the Nieuwlanderweg are definitely for you.

Parking and public transport

If you travel by public transport, you can get on line 28 of Connexxion from the ferry port in Den Hoorn or use the local transport service, the Texelhopper. Depending on the location, where your flat is located, take either. If there is no bus stop in front of your apartment complex, you can have the Texelhopper take you to your destination. You should book this at least one hour in advance.
The nature on Texel
On Texel, you will find every kind of nature there is elsewhere in the Netherlands. And the beauty of it is that, apart from a few small pieces, all these areas are freely accessible. The Wad, for example, the fascinating world of ebb and flow on the east side of Texel, even has world heritage status. The Slufter on the west side is the last area of our country where the sea still flows in and out unhindered. Walking and cycling
If you come to Texel purely for walking and cycling, there is little point in renting a holiday home with all the trimmings. You are better off with accommodation in an Aparthotel Texel or a naturally located apartment complex. Our flats on Nieuwlanderweg, for example, are tucked away in the Texel landscape bewtween Den Burg and De Koog. A nice central starting point, for walking and cycling tours are in all directions. The Zeedistel and Juliana complexes are in De Koog itself. A better choice for beach and dune walkers who like a bite to eat or a snack afterwards.
Excursions
During your stay on Texel, you can undertake all kinds of activities, such as joining one of the many excursions. There are oppurtunities to join a guided mudflat walk or search for fishing or seal spotting. It is also fun to join an excursion to explore on of the nature reserves and do some bird-watching, for example. You can also join an organised horse ride or, if there are children along, rent a covered wagon with a pony.
On a journey
You can also make plans in the apartment on Texel to seek exitement and adventure. Indeed, this Wadden Island offers the possibility of parachute jumping. You can make a tandem jump with an experienced skydiver and view the island from above. Prefer to keep your feet on the ground? Then it might be an ideo to opt for a sightseeing flight.
