Allow us to introduce... Quintte
Hi everyone! It’s my turn this time.
My name is Quintte (20 years old), I’m from Meppel, and I’ve been living on Texel since July 2024.
After a backpacking trip through Australia, a summer job brought me to Texel in 2024. I started working at Brasserie Quinty’s in De Koog, where I stayed on after the summer and am still having a great time.
Since October 2025, I’ve also been working at Texelvakanties.
At first, only on changeover days as part of the Inspection Team. Every Monday and Friday, I drive around in my van and inspect the homes at the Buytenplaats, Waalenburght, and Duynzoom villa parks.
Since January 2026, I’ve also been working at the Juliana reception desk from Tuesday through Thursday.
In addition, I create Reels videos for our Instagram, and over the past few months I’ve rewritten the website descriptions for all our accommodations.
In recent years, I’ve tried to make the most of my three gap years in between work. Six months of traveling in Australia, backpacking in Vietnam and Thailand, a trip through Colombia, and of course moving to Texel.
As the icing on the cake, I’m moving to Sweden this summer and will finally start my studies. It marks the end of a wonderful time on Texel and a fresh start in Jönköping.
Until then, I’m busy learning Swedish, working at Texelvakanties during the day, and spending my evenings at Quinty’s.
