Pontweg improvement in 2025/2026
Pontweg, between the Akenbuurt roundabout and Dorpsstraat, is in need of a major facelift. That is why the Municipality of Texel is working on the road in 2025 and 2026. We will repair the road surface and increase road safety. They will also replace 3 culverts under Pontweg in 2025.
N99 (including Kooybrug) closed from 7 November to 8 December, diversion and extra travel time to and from Den Helder ferry port
From Friday 7 November at 8 p.m. until Monday 8 December at 6 a.m., the N99 (including the Kooybrug in Den Helder) will be closed in both directions. Traffic will be diverted via the N9, N248 and N249.
Are you travelling from the direction of the Afsluitdijk/Den Oever? This will affect the route you take to and from the ferry terminal (ferry) in Den Helder. Please allow for an additional travel time of approximately 20-25 minutes.
Renovations Juliana 2026
In January, February and March 2026, renovation work will once again be carried out on the exterior of Juliana. This includes concrete repairs, new (tilt/turn) windows, new doors, new coating on the balconies and repair of jointing. The inconvenience will take place during the day and not at weekends.
